Making the most of insomnia

I’ve always been a poor sleeper. As a child vivid dreams and nightmare frequently woke me. As an adult I added in kids, dogs, cats, creaking stairs and a multitude of other normal nightly sounds that everyone else ignores but wake me. Now probably as much habit as insomnia I’m used to being the only one awake in my home. While cats and dogs snore beside me I’m  wide awake so I may as well use that time to catch up on social media and my friends in the UK and more often than not I’ll paint. So I have an ‘Insomnia’ series. Already on #4 this week I’ve been upcycling old canvases and painting red seas and landscapes.
