Texas Floods and Spider Webs

Today was a beautiful day in Texas although the effects of all the rain from the storms that blew through over Thansgiving are still very visible. Lake and river levels are still high and when we visited a local bar/restaurant today on Lake Lewisville all their efforts putting right the devastating effects from the previous floods appear to have been a waste of time as everything is under water again. The lake looks beautiful but with more heavy rain forecast through the winter it’s going to create havoc with the low lying areas around it.

I’m still continuing with the Thirty in Thirty art challenge but ended up masking out the remainder of five paintings in a series of Spider’s Web paintings, went out for the day and then came back and spent all evening creating the backgrounds to them all.
